Bhutan Healthy Tea

From the pristine mountains of Shingkhar Valley to your cup—a journey of purity, heritage, and wellness.

Our Story

Bhutan Healthy Tea Community

Established in 2021, Bhutan Healthy Tea began as a vision to preserve and share the ancient wisdom of Bhutanese herbal traditions while creating sustainable economic opportunities for rural communities.

Located in Shingkhar Valley at 3,500 meters elevation, our community brings together over 30 dedicated members from Shingkhar, Somthrang, and Pangkhar villages under Ura Geog. Together, we harvest and craft premium herbal teas from wild herbs approved by Bhutan’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forest.

Our mission extends beyond commerce. We are committed to sustainable practices, fair trade principles, and uplifting the living standards of our rural communities while preserving Bhutan’s precious natural heritage.

Our Process

Processing Steps for Bhutan Healthy Tea

1. Harvesting & Selection

Fresh herbs such as Rhododendron, Mistletoe, Rosehip, Matsutake, and Cordyceps are carefully collected from natural environments. Only high-quality, mature, and healthy plant parts are selected to ensure purity and effectiveness

2. Cleaning & Drying

The harvested herbs are thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt and impurities. They are then naturally air-dried or gently machine-dried to preserve their nutrients, aroma, and medicinal properties.

3. Blending & Packaging

Dried herbs are processed, cut, or blended into different tea varieties. The final product is hygienically packed in eco-friendly packaging to maintain freshness, quality, and shelf life.

Shingkhar Valley:
Our Home

Nestled in the southeastern part of Bumthang District, Shingkhar Valley sits at 3,500 meters elevation, 60 kilometers from the Dzongkhag center. This idyllic Bhutanese village represents a perfect balance between pristine nature and peaceful traditional life.

Surrounded by forests of spruce, pine, larch, fir, juniper, bamboo, and rhododendrons, Shingkhar Valley provides the ideal environment for cultivating high-value medicinal herbs. The cool mountain climate, pristine air, and rich biodiversity create conditions where herbs develop maximum potency and purity.

Despite modern influences, Shingkhar has remained unaffected by rapid development, preserving its traditional character and connection to Mother Nature. This authenticity is reflected in every cup of our herbal tea.
